Refight the grim battle of Stalingrad in WWII with FoW rules. Each side will command an Infantry Company and Tank Company seeking to control the streets and factories and burned and bombed out rubble that is Stalingard. The City has almost no military value, but Hitler wanted it taken. Stalin was unwilling to give it up and issued his "Not One Step Back" order to the army (and executed by the Komissars) so the epic battle was fought. Our game will use the "Encounter" Mission from FoW with a few twists. The winner of the battle becomes the attacker in phase two, the loser becomes the defender, and we will use the "No Retreat" Mission from the Firestorm: Operation Bagration book (which is replacing Hold the Line). See if you as the German player can succeed and capture the city that bears Stalin's name, or as the Russian player see that history repeats itself and the Germans are thwarted.
